The original of this textile artwork was created to celebrate the most amazing mango sorbet I had ever tasted, created by a chef/friend of mine. I’d never had anything quite so divine, and wanted to commemorate it in a visual form. That spring I was camping out in a studio in Cottonwood, Arizona three days a week, trying to get ready for a solo show. I had a hot plate and a toilet in the 8000 square foot space (a former car dealership from the days when they parked all the cars inside the building!), but only a cold water tap for washing up. My friends had a gourmet restaurant around the corner, and they fed me several times a week with the most spectacular food, made more so by my meager circumstances.
This signed and numbered limited edition inkjet print shows all the detail of the original textile piece, and is printed on archival paper, suitable for framing. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Paper size is 22" x 17", image is 20-1/2" x 15".
