What to do with scraps, I mused? I know! I'll make bookmarks! And I'll write whimsical or cheeky fortunes, and print them on the back of each one!
The front of each bookmark is sewn oilcloth (from my scraps), and the back is a piece of hand-dyed cotton fabric printed with a fortune. Edges are clean-finished, and a piece of hemp twine is attached to the top. Each bookmark comes in a colorful, sealed paper envelope, as pictured. Each bookmark is approximately 2" w x 8" long.
Each envelope contains (1) bookmark.
I started making these for Art-O-Mat, a company that reconditions old cigarette vending machines to dispense art. (Brilliant, right? Here's a link to their website where you can find where all these machines are located: artomat.org)
Great for gifts, stocking stuffers, party favors, or just a random attitude adjustment for yourself.
