Art Sisters and Resting

Field surrounded by trees and a cloudy sky

Earlier this month, I traveled to Taos for my annual artist retreat. That place sets my heart on fire, every single time. My “art sisters”, as Fran calls us, are among the most creative, interesting people I know. Whether I’ve known the other participants for years or we've just met, I can count on being surrounded by inspiring art and conversations, not to mention the amazing meals and that gorgeous light. (I took the photo above the last night I was there, looking out over the prairie dog colony that inhabits a good acre of the property.)

In my last newsletter I mentioned that I’ll be taking some time off this summer. It’s one of the strategies I have for getting “unstuck” - taking a break and coming back with fresh eyes. What methods work for you to get over the hump of a difficult project? Send them to me and I’ll share in June, when I send my next newsletter.

I hope you’ve found some peace this past few weeks. Take care of yourself and your beloveds.
